Covid-19 and your immune system
I’m old enough to remember that it wasn’t so long ago the average population was not obese, diabetic or plagued by many other metabolic health conditions. It is no coincidence people most at risk have compromised immune systems, having chronic inflammation is a direct result of our diet.
Since I was a kid, there has been an ever increasing amount of our food that is produced for convenience, flavor and cost, rather than actual nutrients. The result is The Standard American Diet or SAD. The SAD diet is highly inflammatory to your system and directly responsible for the pandemic we now face.
The biggest challenge for most people transitioning to a nutrient dense diet is simply mindset.
Your body will gladly adapt to eating what it needs, but the transition can be challenging since the SAD diet is both physically and mentally addictive. Starch, sugar and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) known as seed oils like soy, corn, safflower, sunflower, and canola oil are primarily responsible for chronic inflammation that compromises your immune system.
Not everyone is the right fit for my coaching program. After working with many clients, I’ve discovered that I work best with clients who are really and truly ready to claim the results they say that they want.
